Overview
Israeli digital-intelligence company whose Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED) unlocks seized phones and extracts messages, photos, location and app data. Its tools were used by Myanmar authorities against two Reuters journalists reporting on the Rohingya massacre, and by Russian authorities to break into opposition activist Andrey Pivovarov's iPhone. Cellebrite has repeatedly said it would stop selling to particular governments after investigations — including China and Russia — though use reportedly continued.
