Overview

Swedish mobile-forensics company (Micro Systemation AB) whose XRY tool extracts data from seized phones. MSAB sold XRY to Myanmar police in 2019, where it was used to surveil the Rohingya community; the company said it revoked the licenses after the 2021 military coup. Its products are classed as dual-use and subject to EU export controls.
